Vendors and Things
A special thanks...
…to all the vendors in Santa Barbara (and local areas, of course) for helping us for our special day. We literally could not have done this without you, and we are super grateful that each of you went above and beyond what was expected.
We also want to shout out the people who have helped us along the way to get this day going, and without further ado, here is a list of vendors and things that helped make 10/10/2020 possible.
Erika is an artist and business owner in Santa Barbara. She is also an artist who also helped put forth the foundation for Green House Studios and she maintains the garden that is hosting our wedding. Her paintings are amazing, so check out her art!
If it wasn’t for a happenstance run for coffee here, we would have never been a part of the magic that was the Green House Studios Garden. As previously mentioned, they have the best coffee in SB hands down.
Green House Studios is a collective of artists started by Erika Carter in the Funk Zone. The garden (pre-pandemic) would host events highlighting the local artists and would be an event to build community in Santa Barbara. The garden is a magical piece to the vibe that is The Funk Zone.
Rebekah Hofberg started her floral company to share her passion for floral design with the community in Santa Barbara. She also describes her experience in sitting in the Green House Studios Garden as “magical”.
Rebekah has been amazing all throughout this process, and we could not have made the leaps and bounds in planning our event without her. She’s also become somewhat of a mentor to both of us.
Please visit her and keep her in mind when you’re looking for floral designers in Santa Barbara.
Marina Gonzalez started Sugar Shack in 2019 and is now an up-and-coming star in the cake design world in Santa Barbara. She puts a personal touch with every creation she does, and she knows exactly what flavors blend well together. Marina is really personable and one can feel her passion for cake artistry when talking to her.
Aside from being the executive chef for Bluewater Grill, Ms. Chanel Ducharme made it a point to make sure she was transparent with everything going on, answered all of our questions, and was very prompt with her responses. So, it was an easy choice to go with Bluewater Grill.
Our engagement photo shoot was made possible with Kayla’s help. Her eye for context and scenery helped us get the best shots as the sun went down in Santa Barbara that evening. Kayla is also very perceptive when it comes to making the poses seem as natural as possible. We cannot recommend her enough.
As soon as I (Ariane) saw Jessica on Thumbtack, I just had to message her. She was very straightforward with all of her information, and she was very responsive during the whole process. We are excited to have Jessica as our wedding day photographer.
In addition to our wedding photography, we are happy to have David on the team to handle the documenting of our special day. He spent awhile with us on the phone asking and answering questions for us about the logistics for our day, and by the end of it, we knew we had to book him.
Thank goodness for Etsy. From everything to the bow ties to our guestbook to even the special dog collar for Maui, I (Ariane) cannot thank Etsy enough for having creators on that platform that do all of these unique things.
If you’ve listened to a podcast in the last few years, you might have heard Indochino. That’s what inspired me (Anthony) to go to Indochino. The style guide assistant was amazing, and he was very helpful. I can’t remember his name at the moment, but he and Ariane had the same thoughts on the suit design.
Wedding Musician (booking pending)
We are close in booking our wedding musician…stay tuned
